4 lbvine-ripened tomatoes

1/2 cchopped onion

1 cfresh cilantro

1serrano or jalapeno chiles

2 tspminced garlic
-
1 tspsugar

3 Tbsplime juice

·kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper

·oregano, dried, to taste
How to Make Fresh Tomato Salsa
- Quarter and seed tomatoes.
- Dice the tomatoes and transfer to a bowl.
- Finely chop onion and cilantro.
- Seed and chop the chiles.
- Stir chiles, onion, cilantro and garlic into tomatoes with sugar and lime juice and season with salt, pepper and oregano.
- Note: For a less chunky texture, try using a food processor or blender... works great!
