This is another recipe we have for Bread and Butter Pickles that my cousins use. It differs a little from the recipe that my grandmother used.

Ingredients
- CUCUMBER INGREDIENTS
- 4 quarts sliced cucumbers
- 6 medium onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 - green pepper, sliced thin
- 1/3 cup salt
- LIQUID INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups apple cider vinegar
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons turmeric
- 1 1/2 teaspoons mustard seed
How To Make bread and butter pickles 2

Step 1Slice up all your cucumber ingredients Put cucumbers, onions, peppers, garlic and salt in a large pot. Cover with water and let stand 4 hours.

Step 2Drain and rinse the cucumber mixture. Place in large pot. Add vinegar, sugar, turmeric and mustard seed. Bring to a boil and pack in hot sterile mason jars.
