You can cook them on the grill outside or indoors in a griddle skillet or on a griddle iron. I prefer to use the grill skillet to avoid so many splatters & messy clean up from the griddle iron. The spice blend was just enough to season 6 steaks & the herb Butter finished the steaks off perfectly. Store any unused spice blend in a small spice bottle for later use.
HERB RUB FOR STEAKS
1 Tbspsmoked paprika
2 tspsmoked alderwoood sea salt
11/2 Tbspgranulated garlic(not garlic salt)
2 Tbspdried thyme
1 tspcoarse black pepper
1 Tbspparsley or chopped chive
How to Make Marinated Rib Eye Steak RUB
- Add olive oil to a grill skillet or you may want to cook on the grill. Bring temperature to very high heat, when hot and smoking add steaks carefully to grill skillet. Sear on one side about 3 minutes then do a quarter turn and sear for an additional 3 minutes. Flip steak over and place in preheated broiler and continue to cook for about 4-5 minutes depending on how you like your steak cooked. Remove from broiler.
