Trying to cut salt in your diet. Here are three different seasonings that you might want to give a try. I had to adjust my cooking years ago when my husband was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I learned then to season differently so we wouldn't miss the salt. Now most foods taste too salty to both of us.

Ingredients

  • SALT FREE SEASONING #1
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon basil, dried
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, flakes
  • 1 teaspoon savory
  • 1 teaspoon mace, ground
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon sage, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • SALT FREE SEASONING #2
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon basil, dried
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1 teaspoon lemon peel
  • SALT FREE SEASONING #3
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard, i prefer coleman's
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika, sweet mild
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground white pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seed

How To Make three salt-free seasonings

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. You can keep a portion of each of these seasonings in a shaker and just shake over your dish as you would salt. Try these on soups and meats too when cooking.
