    apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar (or turbinado)
  • 1/2
    fresh onion - pureed, or 2 tbs onion powder

    fresh garlic cloves, minced or 1 tbs garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    coarse black pepper (preferably fresh ground)
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    tobasco sauce
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1 tsp
    liquid smoke (optional)
  • 1 tsp
    1 tsp salt

How to Make Texas - Lone Star Barbecue Sauce


  1. Combine ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer about 25-30 minutes, then puree in blender to help bring out all of the wonderful flavors.
