Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1/2 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon pressed garlic
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sambal oelek
- 2 - drops red food coloring
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch (mixed with 1/3 cup cold water)
How To Make sweet chili sauce

Step 1In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add water, rice vinegar, granulated sugar, ketchup, minced ginger, pressed garlic, and sambal oelek. Stir until everything is well combined and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Step 2While it’s warming up, add a couple drops of food coloring. When it starts simmering, cook for 5 minutes.

Step 3When time is up, add the cornstarch mixture and stir very well until the sauce thickens, about 45 seconds. Remove from the heat and let the sauce cool off before proceeding with your recipe.
