Have not tried this recipe, it came from chinese cooking book. I will try this, love chinese cooking.

  • 4 tbs
  • 1/4 cup
    brown sugar
  • 2 tbs
    soy sauce
  • 3 tbs
    wine vinegar
  • 2 tbs
    dry white wine
  • 2 tbs
    cornstarch dissolved in 1/2 cup water

How to Make Sweet and Sour Sauce


  1. Combine catsup, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, and wine in saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the cornstarch dissolved in water to sauce. Cook over low heat heat, stirring constantly, until sauce has thickened. Cool to lukewarm and serve.
