spring hill ranch's homemade ketchup & chili sauce
We've been making our own ketchup and chili sauce for over 20 years. After trying numerous recipes, we settled on this one as our all-time favorite. It is an adult version of that stuff you can buy that has all those unknown quantities of unknown things in it. Oh, and if you happen to have an empty 20-ounce squeeze bottle from brand H, rinse it out and use it to store this one!

Ingredients
- FOR THE KETCHUP
- 16 ounces "no salt added" tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons apple cider (or malt) vinegar
- 2 teaspoons light (golden) brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons freshly minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt (or 1/2 tsp. table salt)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground mace
- 2 pinches ground cayenne (optional)
- ADDITIONAL FOR CHILI SAUCE
- 1/4 cup grated horseradish
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
How To Make spring hill ranch's homemade ketchup & chili sauce

Step 1In a medium mixing bowl (or in the bowl of your food processor or blender), combine all of the ingredients. Mix them thoroughly, or, for the smoothest texture, blend with an immersion blender, in a blender or food processor until smooth.

Step 2Store in the refrigerator. Keeps in a good, cold refrigerator for 4 weeks.
