Slow Cooker Crock Pot


  • 1 lb
    ground turkey (or ground beef)
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 medium
    onion, peeled and chopped
  • 8 oz
    sliced mushrooms (fresh)
  • 1 can(s)
    (14 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 can(s)
    (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 2 can(s)
    (15 oz each) tomato sauce
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 tsp
    dried rosemary, crushed
  • 1 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    basil pesto (jarred or homemade)
  • 1/2 c
    dry red wine

How to Make Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce


  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground turkey and drain well. Transfer to slow cooker. In same pan, add oil and saute onion and mushrooms until onions are softened and mushrooms have started to give up their liquid. Transfer to slow cooker with meat.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  4. Serve over your favorite cooked pasta and sprinkle with grated parmesan, if desired.
