Simple Syrup is used for many things , for adding sweetness to a recipes when granular texture is not desired. I keep this on hand for my glazes, drinks, poaching liquids for fruit and to moist cakes.. What even better is Ice tea and Lemonade...

Ingredients For simple syrup

  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    water

How To Make simple syrup

    Combine the sugar ans water in a med saucepan over med-high heat and cook, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

    Bring the mixture to a just boil, then remove from heat.

    Let mixture come to room temperature. You can be made up to two month in advance..Just keep in a airtight container until ready to use.
