- 1 - whole garlic head
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 - onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
- 2 large 28 oz cans of crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- - salt and pepper
How To Make roasted garlic marinara sauce

Step 1Start by cutting the top half of the head of garlic, place in a piece of foil paper, drizzle with a bit of olive oil.

Step 2bake at 350 degrees about 40 mins...let cool

Step 3In a large sauce pan, saute the onion in the olive oil a few mins, then squeeze in the cooled roasted garlic cloves, add in the italian seasoning, salt, pepper and sugar, combine well.

Step 4add in the 2 cans of crushed tomatoes and stir well, simmer on low about 1 hour.
