  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/2 medium
    yellow onion, minced
  • 1/2 medium
    green bell pepper, minced
  • 3 clove
    garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 8 oz
    tomato paste (not sauce)
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    dried basil
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried parsley
  • ·
    salt and pepper, to taste

How to Make Red Garlic Pizza Sauce


  1. Heat oil in a deep, heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and green pepper; cook and stir for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and continue to cook, stirring, until the vegetables are tender. Add the water and stir in the tomato paste.
  3. Add dried herbs and lower heat. Let simmer for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste, and continue simmering for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce is desired thickness.
