4 tablespoons of chili powder made it too hot for the kiddos.So, the next time I reduced it to 2 tablespoons. The kiddos really enjoyed it then, they informed me that I could make it more often.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp - oil
  • 2 Tbsp - gluten free flour
  • 2-4 Tbsp - chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp - garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin
  • 1/4 tsp - oregano, dried
  • 2 cups - chicken broth

How To Make red enchilada sauce

  • Step 1
    Heat oil; add flour and stir together 1 minute. Stir in remaining seasonings.
  • Step 2
    Gradually add broth. Whisk to remote lumps.
  • Step 3
    Reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes until thick. Refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
