4 tablespoons of chili powder made it too hot for the kiddos.So, the next time I reduced it to 2 tablespoons. The kiddos really enjoyed it then, they informed me that I could make it more often.

  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    gluten free flour
  • 2-4 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    cumin
  • 1/4 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 2 cups
    chicken broth

How to Make Red Enchilada Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oil; add flour and stir together 1 minute. Stir in remaining seasonings.
  2. Gradually add broth. Whisk to remote lumps.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes until thick. Refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
