Ingredients
- 2 cups packed fresh basil leaves
- 3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- 10-12 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- - dried crushed red pepper flakes
How To Make pesto alla genovese

Step 1Wash and dry fresh basil and parsley.

Step 2Position knife blade in food processor bowl; add basil leaves, and process until finely chopped. Add parsley and pine nuts, garlic cloves, salt and drizzle about 1/2 the oil. Process until smooth, adding more oil to make a creamy smooth pesto.

Step 3Stir in cheese. Serve over pasta.
