How to Make Old Time Texas Barbecue Sauce


  • 1Simmer about 25-30 minutes, then puree in blender to help bring out all of the flavors.
  • 2Note: The dried chilies that come in small plastic packages, can be found in most grocery stores today.

    When reconstituted in warm water (10-20 min) they provide a rich smokey flavor that fresh chilies do not have.
