1/2 lbfresh mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cbutter, melted
3/4 cbeef broth
1/4 cgreen onions, chopped
1/4 csauterne or other sweet white wine
How to Make Mushroom-Onion Sauce
- Saute mushrooms in melted butter in a large skillet until tender.
- Add the broth, onions, and salt; stir well. Bring to a boil.
- Combine the wine and cornstarch; stir well. Gradually add the wine mixture to the mushroom mixture, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 1 minute or until thickened and bubbly.
- Serve warm over grilled steaks or hamburgers.
