Yummy! I tried this on french fries like Jen suggested and this was a big hit in the Test Kitchen. I am sure that it will be just as good on a hot dog. I'm definitely making this again for my next cookout! The Test Kitchen

Ingredients

small onions, chopped fine
1 clove
garlic, chopped fine
1 1/2 lb
hamburger - 80/20 mix
1 can(s)
tomato paste
1 - 2 tsp
chili powder
1/2 tsp
hot pepper, crushed red
1 tsp
paprika
2 tsp
chili sauce
2 c
water
1
chicken bouillon cube

How to Make Michigan Hot Dog Sauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1Use fry pan saute onions, garlic, and hamburger.
  • 2Cook together until hamburger is done, drain.
  • 3Then add tomato paste, chili powder, hot pepper, paprika, chili sauce, water and chicken bouillon cube.
  • 4Cook for 2 hours.

    Serve over warm, grilled hot dogs, or french fries,etc...
