I found this in an old cook book, and I haven't tried it yet.

Donalee loved marshmallows and I'm always looking for recipes she would have enjoyed.

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 1/4 lb
    marshmallows
  • 2
    egg whites
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    water

How to Make Marshmallow Filling

Step-by-Step

  1. Boil sugar and water until it spins a thread. Cut up marshmallows and pour boiling water over them to steam. When sugar is done, pour gradually over the egg whites which have been beaten stiff, then add marshmallows; beat until creamy and spread on cake layers.
