This is good on pasta, veggies or on poultry. I found this in a taste of home magazine. 1/4 cup has 46 cal., 3 gr fat, 1 mg cholesterol and 4 carbs.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons stick margarine
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter buds granules
  • 1 tablespoon reduced sodium chicken bouilon granules
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup fat free milk
  • - pepper to taste
  • - chopped parsley to garnish

How To Make low-fat white sauce

  • Step 1
    In a saucepan, melt margarine. Stir in flour, butter buds, and bouilion till blended.
  • Step 2
    Gradually add water and milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 min., or until thickened. Season with pepper.
  • Step 3
    Yield: 2 cups
