Ingredients

  • 2 quarts peeled and chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dries oregano
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon pickling spice
  • 3/4 cup vinegar

How To Make hot taco sauce

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a dutch oven. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 1 hour. Cool and store in refrigerator. Makes 2 1/2 pints.
