You can add this spicy sauce to anything to liven it up... but beware it is very hot. Use sparingly. It is an easy sauce to vary... if you don't want it too spicy, then add less dried chili or more of the other ingredients.

prep time 10 Min
cook time 6 Min
method Stir-Fry
yield 1 batch

Ingredients

  • - 1 onion, yellow or sweet, thinly sliced
  • - 2 medium tomatoes, plum, thinly sliced
  • - 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • - 2 green onions, chopped
  • - 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • - 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • - 1/2 tsp salt, sea
  • - 1 cup dried red peppers (whole)
  • - 1 tbsp vegetable oil

How To Make hot sauce

  • Step 1
Heat oil in a pan on high.
  • Step 2
To the pan add the garlic and cook 5 seconds, then add the onion slices and fry for 1 minute. Next you will add the celery and dried red peppers and fry for another minute before adding the tomato slices; which will also cook for one minute. You are almost done, now stir in the cilantro, green onion and salt, cover and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Step 3
When everything is nice and soft, pour into a blender and process until your desired thickness is achieved.
