I decided one day to make my own alfredo sauce, because I wanted a lighter version of the commercial, bland kind.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick " i can't believe it's not butter."
  • 2 cups light cream.
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup grated soy parmesan cheese, or reduced-fat grated parmesan cheese.

How To Make homemade light alfredo sauce

  • Step 1
    In medium saucepan, melt butter over med-low heat. Stir in cream & pepper. Cook, stirring until hot, about 8 min. Stir in grated cheese and cook until thickened, about 5 min. Serve w/ any pasta.
