homemade hot chili sauce
This is a recipe I have used for many years. It's great with all meats or just on its own with toast. My sister just eats it right out of the jar and gobbles it all up LOL. The level of heat depends on what peppers you use - we like it hot.

Ingredients
- 3 cans italian-style diced tomatoes (28 oz each)
- 2 large onions
- 2 large green peppers
- 2 large bell peppers
- 2 large poblanos or hot banana peppers
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups sugar (i use splenda - about a cup)
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 3 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon hot chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Step 1Chop all peppers/onions into small even pieces and combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1.5 hours or put in a crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours.

Step 2Pour into sterilized jars and put in a water bath for 10 minutes.
