Ingredients
- 2 - onions, chopped
- 2 medium green bell peppers, chopped
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 16 ounces canned tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon dried whole basil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 large bay leaf
- 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash hot sauce
How To Make creole sauce

Step 1Saute the chopped onion, green pepper, sliced mushrooms, and garlic in butter and oil in a large skillet for 3 to 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.

Step 2Add the tomato sauce and remaining ingredients. Bring the mixture to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.

Step 3Remove and discard the bay leaf. Serve sauce with omelets or scrambled eggs. (Or dish of your choice!)
