How to Make Creamy Caramel Sauce
- In a heavy saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the sugar and lemon juice and cook, stirring constantly for 6-8 minutes or until the mixture turns a deep caramel color.
- Gradually add the cream and cook, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes or until smooth. Remove the pan from heat and let it cool.
- Pour the caramel sauce into a glass jar and use or store in the refrigerator.
