    salami, diced
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 28 oz
    can plum tomatoes (reserve the juice)
  • 6
    basil leaves
  • 1 pinch
  • 1 pinch
  • 1 pinch
  • 3/4 c
  • 12 oz
    fusilli, cooked
  • ·
    parmesan cheese, grated (for topping)

How to Make Chunky Tomato Sauce


  1. Cook the salami and garlic cloves in a skillet with the olive oil over medium heat, 1 minute. Drain the plum tomatoes; crush into the skillet and cook 5 minutes.
  2. Add the tomato juice, the basil leaves, sugar, salt and pepper; cook 5 minutes. Stir in the water and simmer until thick.
  3. Toss with the cooked fusilli. Top with grated parmesan cheese and basil. Enjoy!
