Ingredients
- 1 ounce salami, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 28 ounces can plum tomatoes (reserve the juice)
- 6 - basil leaves
- 1 pinch sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 3/4 cup water
- 12 ounces fusilli, cooked
- - parmesan cheese, grated (for topping)
How To Make chunky tomato sauce

Step 1Cook the salami and garlic cloves in a skillet with the olive oil over medium heat, 1 minute. Drain the plum tomatoes; crush into the skillet and cook 5 minutes.

Step 2Add the tomato juice, the basil leaves, sugar, salt and pepper; cook 5 minutes. Stir in the water and simmer until thick.

Step 3Toss with the cooked fusilli. Top with grated parmesan cheese and basil. Enjoy!
