  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce, low sodium

How To Make cho kanjang (sesame sauce)

  • Step 1
    Heat a dry skillet (cast iron works great) over medium heat. Add the sesame seeds toast, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Crush with mortar and pestle. Stir in remaining ingredients.
