2 gallons thich tomato juice
2 1/2 cups vinegar
1 tablespoon pickling spice mix
2 large onions (chopped)
Boil these until onions are soft, then put through a sieve. and put back on the stove and boil 1 hour.
Mix the following in a bowl and moisen with water.
8 cups sugar
8 tablespoons sure gel (found in the canning aisle)
1/2 teaspoon clove, ground
1/2 teaspoon connamon spice
7 tablespoons salt
add to the juice and boil 10-15 minutes more. Put into canning jars and seal.
