With the cultural mix and great variety of flavors in the Colombian culinary background, a Puerto Rican husband that loves his early life home meals and a great deal of experience in the Caribean lifestyle; I have come to learn that sofrito is a cooking base that must be present in every kitchen.
There are other ingredients like the "ajicito dulce" that we hardly find here, but this will do it!
Stews, meats, soups, rices, beans, anything will taste much better with sofrito, plus it's a faboulous time saver!
This is a very easy and fast way to do it... you'll love it!
