  • 1/3 c
    fresh lime juice
  • 2 tsp
    grated lime peel
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 3 clove
    garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1/3 c
    chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp
    hot pepper sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 3/4 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    coarsely ground black pepper

How to Make Lime-Cilantro Marinade


  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Use to marinade chicken, steak or shrimp. (if using on fish or shrimp, marinade no longer than 30 minutes, or seafood will start to "cook" and be tough.
