I love good Carolina style barbecue, but I can never make up my mind which sauce I like best, so usually I leave the meat unseasoned and make one of everything!

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    garlic salt
  • 2 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    hot sauce
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    ground black pepper

How to Make Eastern North Carolina Barbecue Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine all ingredients together in a quart size glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Refrigerate for at least a day before using so that the flavors will blend well. Shake occasionally, and store for up to 2 months in the refrigerator.
