Ingredients

2 lb
yellow pear tomatoes
1 medium
lemon chopped
4 c
sugar
1 tsp
salt
1 Tbsp
ground ginger
1 Tbsp
ground cloves

How to Make YELLOW PEAR TOMATO PRESERVES

Step-by-Step

  • 1Wash and dry tomatoes.
  • 2Cut a thin slice at blossom end, press out seeds discard.
  • 3Combine tomatoes, sugar, salt and simmer until sugar dissolves.
  • 4Boil about 40 minutes.
  • 5Add thinly sliced lemon and minced ginger root.
  • 6Boil 10 minutes longer.
  • 7Pour into hot jars and seal. Water bath for 10 minutes.
