  • 2 lb
    yellow pear tomatoes
  • 1 medium
    lemon chopped
  • 4 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground ginger
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground cloves

How to Make YELLOW PEAR TOMATO PRESERVES

Step-by-Step

  1. Wash and dry tomatoes.
  2. Cut a thin slice at blossom end, press out seeds discard.
  3. Combine tomatoes, sugar, salt and simmer until sugar dissolves.
  4. Boil about 40 minutes.
  5. Add thinly sliced lemon and minced ginger root.
  6. Boil 10 minutes longer.
  7. Pour into hot jars and seal. Water bath for 10 minutes.
