Ingredients
- 2 pounds yellow pear tomatoes
- 1 medium lemon chopped
- 4 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground cloves
How To Make yellow pear tomato preserves

Step 1Wash and dry tomatoes.

Step 2Cut a thin slice at blossom end, press out seeds discard.

Step 3Combine tomatoes, sugar, salt and simmer until sugar dissolves.

Step 4Boil about 40 minutes.

Step 5Add thinly sliced lemon and minced ginger root.

Step 6Boil 10 minutes longer.

Step 7Pour into hot jars and seal. Water bath for 10 minutes.
