This is a super quick and easy preserve recipe that I ran across. I tried it and feel in love with it!

Ingredients

  • 8 - kiwi fruits
  • 2 large ripe pears
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 package 1 pouch liquid fruit pectin
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely shredded lime or lemon peel
  • 2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice

How To Make kiwi - pear preserves

  • Step 1
    Peel and chop the kiwi fruit. Peel, core and finely chop the pears. In a large bowl stir together fruits. Stir in the sugar. Let stand 10 minutes. Combine pectin, citrus peel and citrus juice. Add to fruit mixture and stir. Ladle mixture into half pint freezer jars leaving 1/2 inch at the top. Let stand several hours at room temp. Store in refrigerator or freezer. Makes 6 - half pint jars. Store up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator or up to 1 year in the freezer.
