This recipe was requested by my daughter, Shauna. I found the recipe in a cookbook and changed a few things to make it the way I like it. It's delicious!

Blue Ribbon Recipe

This homemade apple butter recipe makes some of the best apple butter we've ever eaten. It turns out rich and silky. While this was simmering in the Crock Pot, it made the Test Kitchen smell like apple cider. It's a really easy to make apple butter recipe. The Crock Pot does the hard work (just check and stir occasionally). When it's done, don't wait until it's canned to give it a try. Spread some of it warm on a piece of toast... it's so good.
