Never was a fan of cranberries until a couple of years ago. But now I seem to like them especially around the holidays.
I made this one Thanksgiving for my mother who is a fan of cranberries. My sister and I take turns each year alternating Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now whichever holiday I get to cook that year my mom reminds me to make this for our holiday meal.

  • 2 small
    boxes of cranberry jello (3.4 oz.) - i have used strawberry
  • 2 c
    boiling water
  • 1 can(s)
    crushed pineapple (20 oz.) do not drain
  • 1 can(s)
    whole berry cranberries (14 oz.)
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1
    chopped apple leave skin on

How to Make Cranberry Salad


  1. Mix the jello with hot water until dissolved.
  2. Add all other ingredients together, mix well and allow to set. Approx. 6 hours.
  3. You can pour into a decorative mold pan or bundt pan for presentation. Garnish with greens, fresh cranberries or sprigs of mint.
