Ingredients For apple pie jam

  • 10
    granny smith apples
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    ginger
  • 1 c
    firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    real butter
  • 5 c
    sugar
  • 2 pkg
    ball liquid pectin

How To Make apple pie jam

    Put butter, water, and lemon juice in pot on stove on warm
  • 2
    Core, Slice and peel apples and dip into cup of 1 part lemon juice, 3 parts water, then add apples to food processor, {For Apple Pie Filling Just add sliced apples straight to pot}

    Add cinnamon, vanilla ,nutmeg, ginger, and brown sugar, and blend till applesauce consistency {for pie filling, just add all to pot and stir}

    Add sugar, and pectin, and bring to rolling boil for 4 minutes, remove from heat

    Ladle into prepared half pint jars, add lids and process for 15 minutes in water bath canner

    Remove jars, let stand for 12 hours
