Ingredients
- 10 - granny smith apples
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cinamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon real butter
- 5 cups sugar
- 2 packages ball liquid pectin
How To Make apple pie jam

Step 1Put butter, water, and lemon juice in pot on stove on warm

Step 2Core, Slice and peel apples and dip into cup of 1 part lemon juice, 3 parts water, then add apples to food processor, {For Apple Pie Filling Just add sliced apples straight to pot}

Step 3Add cinnamon, vanilla ,nutmeg, ginger, and brown sugar, and blend till applesauce consistency {for pie filling, just add all to pot and stir}

Step 4Add sugar, and pectin, and bring to rolling boil for 4 minutes, remove from heat

Step 5Ladle into prepared half pint jars, add lids and process for 15 minutes in water bath canner

Step 6Remove jars, let stand for 12 hours
