Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 medium yellow onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 cup low sodium beef broth
- 1 cup low sodium chicken broth
- 4 tablespoons bourbon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- - salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make onion-bourbon sauce for steak

Step 1Melt 2 tablespoons butter in heavy large skillet over medium-low heat. Add onions and saute until golden and tender, about 12 minutes.

Step 2Add vinegar and boil until reduced by half, about 1 minute.

Step 3Add bourbon and broths and boil until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes.

Step 4Remove from heat and add remaining butter and whisk just until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
