This homemade onion gravy is a recipe my mom made often with beef. To this day, I make this easy comfort food that wells with any type of protein.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup onion
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make homemade onion gravy

  • Step 1
    Add onion to skillet; cook until translucent or until fork tender. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile in a med skillet pour flour in pan on med high heat; stirring constantly, until the flour is a brown color.
  • Step 3
    Lower heat then, add water stirring fast to avoid lumps.
  • Step 4
    Return onion to gravy mixture and cook until favors combine. Add salt and pepper to taste.
