When you are short on time, this will work as a great sauce to pour over pasta or your favorite meat. If you can't get all the lumps out, pour into blender and take them out and pour over pasta and or meat.

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 cup milk (whole milk recommended)
- - salt - to taste
- - white pepper - to taste

Step 1Directions Using a wide pan; melt butter over med-low heat. When butter becomes light tan in color; add flour. Whisk mixture until light brown in color (flour is cooked – you created a rue!).

Step 2Whisk in a portion of milk to double pan volume. Paste will form – whisk until very smooth. Repeat using the remainder of the milk. Add salt & white pepper then whisk well. Serve meat and or pastas.
