2 Tbspall purpose flour
1 cmilk (whole milk recommended)
·salt - to taste
·white pepper - to taste
How to Make Easiest Best White Sauce
Using a wide pan; melt butter over med-low heat. When butter becomes light tan in color; add flour. Whisk mixture until light brown in color (flour is cooked – you created a rue!).
- Whisk in a portion of milk to double pan volume. Paste will form – whisk until very smooth. Repeat using the remainder of the milk. Add salt & white pepper then whisk well. Serve meat and or pastas.
