My Mom's Mom would make this recipe every now and again, and I loved it!

Ingredients

  • 20 oz cans diced basil, garlic and oregano tomatoes,
  • 4 slices white bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cold
  • 4 ounces pepper jack cheese

How To Make bread with tomato gravy

  • Step 1
    Open can of tomatoes and heat in saucepan. Add tbsp butter. Rip up the 4 slices of bread and put in sauce pan with tomatoes. Add cut up pepper jack cheese.
  • Step 2
    Heat on medium heat, until cheese is melted.
  • Step 3
    Serve as a side, or over fish, etc.
