Some time it pays to just sit down and look through your recipe box. I forgot that I had this recipe. It's must have been in this box for years. I remember it being so refreshing and a low calorie alternative to maple syrup. This is great on pancakes and waffles

  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp
    grated orange peel
  • 1/3 c
    juice
  • 1 tsp
    butter

How to Make Norma's Breakfast Orange Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine the sugar, cornstarch and orange peel in a small sauce pan and stir in orange juice unti smooth.
  2. Place pan on medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened to a syrup consistency.
  3. Remove pan from heat and whisk in butter.
  4. Serve warm over pancakes or waffles.
