I came up with this one on my own after altering a ball blue canning recipe for jam.

  • 6 lb
    apples, peeled, cored, and quartered
  • 3 c
  • 1/2 c
    maple syrup

How to Make Maple Country Applesauce


  1. Boil the apples til soft.
  2. Use a food processor until it is a chunky puree.
  3. put it back in the pot, add syrup and sugar.
  4. bring to a boil (212' F) and continue to boil slowly 5 more minutes.
  5. ladel into hot jars. process in boiling water bath about 20 minutes depending on your elevation.
