If dried fruit is to be used, soak it until soft enough to chop finely. Use water from the fruit for liquid in the recipe. If fresh or canned fruit is used, drain liquid as much as possible and add only the amount called for into the recipe. Combine all the ingredients in the order given.Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until the consistency of marmalade. Add citrus fruit juices, after you have removed filling from stove and cool thoroughly before using.

  • 15 - candied cherries,chopped
  • PRUNE FILLING:
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chopped prunes
  • 1 1/4 cups orange juice
  • LEMON RAISIN FILLING:
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 teaspoons lemon rind
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 4 cups raisins
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • CINNAMON PRUNE FILLING:
  • 1 medium orange,peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup prune juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups chopped prunes
