This recipe orginally came from the Oregon Fruit Products Company and was featured on the Food Channel. It's tremendous over ice cream. If you don't have fresh cherries, you can use frozen cherries.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sweet cherries..pitted
  • 1 cup brandy
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon alomond extract
  • 1 cup sweet orange marmalad

How To Make connie's brandied cherry sauce

  • Step 1
    In a saucepan, combine first 4 ingredients.
  • Step 2
    Over medium heat, cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
  • Step 3
    Stir in almond extract and marmalade.
  • Step 4
    If not using immediately, cover and refrigerate.
