this salad and hot bread sticks are a great meal in itself!

Ingredients

  • 1 - head iceburg lettus -
  • 1/2 medium red onion
  • 1 can large black olives
  • 2 large roma tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
  • 5-6 - pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 cup garlic and cheese croutons
  • ITALIAN DRESSING
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup, light
  • 2 tablespoons parmesian cheese
  • 2 tablespoons romano cheese, grated
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley, italian
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

How To Make olive garden copykat salad

  • Step 1
    Wash head of lettus in cold water and take out core, use a salad spinner you have one. put back in the refrigerator x 2 hours to chill/crisp up. always keep cold. after chilled tear into bite size peices, put back into refrigerator in serving bowl.
  • Step 2
    In a medium size bowl, Slice red onion into 1/8 in slices and seperate. Drain water from olives and add to onion. Wash and cut tomatoes in quarter slices, add to bowl. drain 5-6 pepperoncini peppers whole, add to bowl.
  • Step 3
    Make Italian dressing by combining all ingredience on list, and wisk in small bowl. let set for an hour.
  • Step 4
    Take out lettus, add bowl of onion, olives, pepperoncini's and tomatoes- toss lightly, add parmasian cheese toss again. add croutons.
  • Step 5
    Add dressing and toss again. At table add fresh grated parmasian cheese to taste.
