I didn't like bleu cheese salad dressing, but I liked the thickness, so...in 1960 I whipped up my "un-bleu cheese salad dressing. Since "Ranch Dressing" is now the rage, I call mine "Old Time Ranch Dressing". ENJOY!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppercorns, ground
  • 1/8 teaspoon celery seed
  • 2 teaspoons onion flakes, dehydrated (i use 1-2 teaspoon(s) grated brown onion)
  • 1-2 tablespoon milk to thin a little

How To Make old time ranch dressing, lyn*

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients in a bowl, thin by adding milk a little at a time. We want it the consistency of sour cream.
  • Step 2
    Store in glass jar with tight fitting lid. Refrigerate.
