Those who know me know I adore avacados! I eat them just salted with fresh lime juice.(also always have fresh cilantro in my fridge, break off leaves and chew them) And it all started about 25 years ago when I tried guacamole for the first time. I always was served with my mexican dishes but would not try. Til one day I got the nerve and from then on I was hooked! Iv thrown together avacado salsas before but when I came across this recipe in a easy recipe book I thought wowwwww, Have to make and keep on hand for sandwiches, nachos, salads and more!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound tomatillos pealed and cut in quarters
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 - avacados
  • 1 - jalapeno peppers (seeded or not)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - lime
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro

How To Make easy guacamole spread salsa

  • Step 1
I start by scooping out and chop avocado, salt and squeeze lime juice over. Iv added this step to stop browning of avocados) Chop remaining ingredients. Add to food processor with tomatillos on bottom and pulse to desired consistency.
  • Step 2
Transfer to large jar with lid. The salsa refrigerates well for about 2 weeks, but here don't last that long.
