Everyone likes bitter-sweet Chinese sauce, served with chicken or pork. As for me, I also like to use this sauce for fish and meat cutlets and vegetable dishes.

  • 2-3 clove
  • 1
    ginger root
  • 3 Tbsp
    vegitable oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce, dark
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1
  • 125 ml
    fruit juice
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp

How to Make Bitter-sweet Chinese sauce


  1. Consistently fry in vegetable oil, finely chopped onion, garlic and ginger root (slice of 5-7 cm).
  2. Add the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, ketchup and fruit juice. I use orange or apple juice (or another bitter juice).
  3. Stir well and let simmer. Starch mix in water and pour in a thin stream into the sauce.
  4. Stir well, wait until the sauce thickens and off. Bon appetit!
