This is an old vintage recipe that my mom used to serve at parties. Prep time does not include the 8 hours of chilling time.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 - red cabbage

How To Make veggie dip

  • Step 1
    Combine the first 11 ingredients in a bowl; stir well. Chill at least 8 hours.
  • Step 2
    Trim the core end of the cabbage to form a flat base. Fold back several outer leaves of the cabbage. Cut a crosswise slice from the top of the cabbage, removing about 1/4 of the head. Lift out the inner leaves of the cabbage to form a shell about 1 inch thick (reserve sice and inner leaves for another use).
  • Step 3
    Spoon the dip into the cabbage. Serve with fresh vegetables.
