veggie dip
This is an old vintage recipe that my mom used to serve at parties. Prep time does not include the 8 hours of chilling time.

yield
2 1/3 cups
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chili sauce
- 3 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 - red cabbage
How To Make veggie dip
-
Step 1Combine the first 11 ingredients in a bowl; stir well. Chill at least 8 hours.
-
Step 2Trim the core end of the cabbage to form a flat base. Fold back several outer leaves of the cabbage. Cut a crosswise slice from the top of the cabbage, removing about 1/4 of the head. Lift out the inner leaves of the cabbage to form a shell about 1 inch thick (reserve sice and inner leaves for another use).
-
Step 3Spoon the dip into the cabbage. Serve with fresh vegetables.
